Fishin’ Girl Media and Publications has two traditional publishing imprints: Ascend and Inspire. 

We are the voice for women who love to fish!

As a traditional publisher, we will acquire all rights to published works, ensuring exceptionally unique product development, comprehensive marketing, and worldwide distribution efforts. We are only seeking extraordinary women writers with an impactful message to share. We welcome submissions from literary agents and directly from authors. We carefully review all submissions within a three-month timeframe and will respond with our decision. We are currently accepting book proposals for publication in 2026.

Our book titles and media projects will celebrate the unique perspective of women anglers from all over the United States and other parts of the world.

About the Owners

Andy and Cathy Sanders both hold doctorates in education and have extensive publishing experience.

Dr. Andy Sanders began his career in the year 2000 at Charisma Media, a leading Christian publisher. With over two decades of experience, his expertise spans various areas, including seminars, publishing consulting, contract negotiations, and successful entrepreneurship as an international publishing company founder. He notably transformed a rejected book into what later became a top-selling book project that was bought out by one of the largest publishers on earth.

Dr. Cathy Sanders’ expertise is in project management, book design, and other crucial publishing facets. With a team of well-trained book publishing experts, they have collaborated with a diverse array of authors, from renowned bestsellers to aspiring writers worldwide, and overseen the production of over 500 titles for various publishing imprints.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to celebrate the unique perspective of women anglers. Our titles are crafted from the hearts of women anglers, for the women who fish. We’re thrilled to announce the release of our first title in the fall of 2025.

What do we accept?

  • Fiction and non-fiction
  • No children’s books
  • No adult coloring books
  • No erotica or romance books with explicit themes
  • No political topics or titles

Are you in need of independent book design services?

With over 20 years of experience in international trade standard publishing, our professional team has successfully produced exceptional book projects for both individual authors and renowned publishing houses across the United States.

Over the years, many authors have requested our expertise in areas beyond traditional publishing, such as:

  • Book Cover Design: Cover designs for all genres
  • Editing: Developmental content editing, copyediting, and proofreading
  • Interior Book Design: Interior design, formatting, pagination, etc.
  • Consulting: Book writing guidance, market research and planning, and distribution strategies

We are happy to offer these services on a "work for hire" basis. This means:

  • No rights acquisition: We do not acquire any rights to your work.
  • No royalties: We do not receive any royalties from your book sales.
  • Independent publishing: You retain full control over your book and its publication, as a self-published title.  
  • You Receive all the design files: We will design the exterior (full cover design files) and the interior (completed manuscript files) and return them to you for you to pitch to a publisher or self-publish the works on your own.
  • Distribution:  We recommend uploading your files to either of these distribution platforms: Ingram Content Group or Amazon Book Publishing Services.
