Meet the Founders of Fishin' Girl: Andy & Cathy Sanders
Andy and Cathy Sanders are a dynamic duo passionate about the fishing community, women empowerment, and the book publishing industry.
Carrying a doctorate in education, Cathy Sanders founded Fishin' Girl Nation, a nationwide movement empowering and connecting women anglers. As a professional beach surf fishing guide, Cathy leads surf fishing charters in St. Augustine, Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, and New Smyrna Beach. She loves sharing her expertise and fostering a love for the sport.
With a background in music and writing, some of Cathy’s works have been featured internationally. Between her passions for fishing, writing, and music, Dr. Cathy Sanders brings a unique and creative perspective to those around her.
Dr. Andy Sanders has a distinguished career in the international book publishing industry spanning over two decades. He is an accomplished writer and holds a doctorate in education.
Andy and Cathy Sanders are “empty
nesters,” residing in Palm Coast, Florida, with their two mischievous, cross-eyed Siamese cats. Together, they are building the Fishin’ Girl brand into a worldwide movement.

We're on a mission to empower women through the sport of fishing. By raising awareness about the challenges faced by women, such as human trafficking and domestic abuse, we will inspire action and empower survivors. We'll advocate for women who can no longer advocate for themselves. By offering opportunities for women to connect through fishing and outdoor activities, we empower them to heal, grow, and find purpose. We are setting women free one cast at a time!
